Sharing the Norfolk Snow

Thought i would share the seasonal Norfolk snow with you all. As i have many visitors and friends in far off places, I thought some seasonal weather would be good. The Wishing Tree has been quiet today, and i think many people have braved the elemements and gone into the city to shop, I think they are now wishing they hadn't, as reports of overflowing carparks and queues at checkouts fill me with woe.
So, has anybody ever seen a pair of kissing giraffes in the snow??
these little darlings come in 2 sizes and are priced at £15 and £12 so if you know anyone who needs one of these for christmas, give me a phone 01508 536008 or visit the website for more gorgeous gifts. or e-mail for other giraffe options iwish@thewishingtree.biz
Well I'm off home in a bit before the roads get too bad, hope you all get a bit of snow soon,
olivia

We like a nice glass of wine

Fancy That!!! We share our name with a good wine.

The Wishing Tree 2005 Chardonnay (wine review)

This unoaked Chardonnay from Australia
is a pale straw in the glass
with a nice fruity bouquet rising into the room.
On the swirl, it is citrusy and pineappley
and in the mouth the fine acid is mouth watering
giving a solid foundation to luscious flavors
that seem short lived but then return.
The finish is lingering.

We love a good glass of wine, and more than anything we like to share a glass or 2 with our customers now and again. Yes you guessed it, another one of our delightful and fun late nite openings. This one is especially for the ladies, a night out with the girls, doing a bit of Christmas shopping, enjoying a nice glass of wine and a few chocolates. Oh and did i mention 10% Discount on all gifts and jewellery.
So put the date in your diary now and make sure you can escape from the T.V. or the ironing...... etc.
Friday 21st November from 6pm to 10pm. At The Wishing Tree, in Long Stratton.
No men/guys/chaps/...... You will get your chance to shop without your lovely ladies on a special nite in December, so watch this space for that date (have ordered the beer and crisps for that, by the way)
So ladies, lets hope you can make it, we have loads of new stock, and plenty of christmas cheer. Come along and join in the fun, we look forward to your company

Halloween at Whe Wishing Tree

Did We Have Fun or What??

Our happy Halloween all got off to an early start last night, we had great fun in the shop, re-opening at 6pm and warming ourselves with Helen's hot fruit punch until 10pm. Lauren from Norwich was here, reading Tarot, we all had a taste of what is in store for us in the next year, with her 12 month forcast. Indian Head massage was also on the menu, with Jill. Lauren and Jill are collectively know as "Pagan Moon" and can be found in the Norwich area at the Mind Body And Spirit Fairs. Or you can contact The Wishsing Tree to get their contact details. And giving advice on Crystal Therapy, was Monique from www.coldsrteamtherapies.com we were feeling the benificial effects of some of her beautiful crystals and learning how they can bring us calm and inner peace, make us feel more energetic and give us confidence etc. Monique is a very talented therapist and we hope to be seeing more of her in the shop soon. You can visit her website to see all the treatments on offer, which also include, hypnotherapy and reflexology, Monique also works her treatments on animals, in particular horses and dogs, so don't put it off till tomorrow, why not contact ther today. www.coldstreamtherapies.com
Steve Sausage may be a name that is familiar to those of you with children. Steve, who is a childrens entertainer, was one of our visitors last night, he added to the fun with a few tricks of his own, visit his website or contact him to book your kid's party on info@steve-sausage.co.uk or checkout his website

A Gift for every ocassion you can think of and more besides

Have you ever given a gift to celebrate a vasectomy? According to a new YouGov poll created by Spring Fair International, some people do. Other bizarre modern gift-giving occasions include celebrating a divorce, toasting a cat's birthday, enticing someone into the bedroom, empathising with the painful removal of an in-grown toenail and a pat on the back for failing an exam. These new gift occasions are a sign of the times; traditional points of celebration are being joined by less orthodox milestones.

As well as changing consumer attitudes, the survey reveals that rather than reining in spending, shoppers are inventing additional reasons to treat their loved ones. More than half of the 2,000 UK adults surveyed said that their budget for presents had not been decimated by the credit crunch, and some went so far as to say that the amount they spend on presents has increased. So just how much are they spending? According to the survey your average Joe spends £55.99 on a gift every two to three weeks, equating to a whopping £1,068 a year.

If you need a gift, for whatever the occasion may be, then we at The Wishing Tree can make your wishes come true. Did your neighbour get your cat down from the tree? How about this megga cat clock from catseye london
Did someone give you a helping hand? then how about this carved wooden hand. Whatever the occasion see what we can do for you www.thewishingtree.biz has it all
